John,
do you suppose we could figure out a way to tell
us, if someone we have sent a personal message
to...has received it or not? This has bugged a few
of us for a long while now.  Wink

Pat, I'm not aware that it's bugged anybody. No one else has mentioned it. But, regrettably, there is no way to tell if another member has opened a personal message.

I know on a chat forum I use that you can tell if somebody has received a message you sent by checking your outbox.  If I send a message  then it goes  to 'outbox' and once the message has gone to whoever then it vanishes from 'outbox' to 'sent box', but no idea if it works here. Probably wasn't any help  Laugh

You're right Gilly, some forums do work that way. But most forum software only allows an Inbox and an Outbox, as this one does, and so there is no way of telling.  Wink

There is a workaround for this -

Write something really provocative, insulting, etc, the recipient will surely reply and you'll have your confirmation, works a treat  Evil
