Here are a couple photos I took this afternoon of our apple tree and lilac bush. Close ups that I cropped.  Smiley
Enjoy.

Oh gosh!!   Don't those look and SMELL absolutely wonderful??!  Mmmm!   Cheesy   Thank you, Millie!

Someone mentioned lilacs to me today.  Even seeing the word then reminded me of the fragrance.   I think it'll still be a while before I'll be seeing apple blossoms and lilacs blooming here (no snow today, though!  Wink), but with all the pretty spring flowers showing up in the forum recently, that just means my spring flower season got an early start and it will be lasting longer than usual this year.   Big Grin

It amazes me that you've had so much snow and such low temperatures by comparison to what we've had here, but now spring is here your Apple blossom and Lilac buds are a week or two ahead of ours. My Apple blossoms are well budded, but not open, as is the Pear. My Lilac trees have buds forming but still a long way to go. I have to confess to being very envious of your lilac coloured Lilac tree. I have 3 cream and 1 white. The scent is heavenly, but I always think a Lilac should be lilac.  Big Grin

You're right Bugsy, you'll enjoy eveybodies flowers, then make us envious when you're spring comes. If it ever does!

John, it actually froze here about three days ago. I was looking at some lilies I have today, that are almost a foot high (foliage only) and noticed the top one looked a little peaked. But we haven't had snow for several weeks. Not what I call "snow" that stays on the ground. It makes me nervous that all the trees are leafing so early. It's not unusual at all for us to have wet blizzards in May and we lost at least four trees that way.

Also, I've always wanted a white lilac bush. Guess we always want what we don't have -  Smiley We actually have three lilac bushes and all getting ready to bloom.

Okay, here's the apple blossom and lilacs this morning, Thursday.  Smiley  I'm pretty sure they will be all right. As long as it doesn't get worse!

The first thing I heard on the news this morning was that portions of Interstate-70 were closed AGAIN in Colorado, because of snow...  and the first things I thought about were those apple blossoms and lilacs in your yard, Millie.   Sad     I hope they survived ok.
