I wonder if there's a special demand in the world for really ugly artists?  Hmmm...

Of course there is - especially if you're producing uniquely ugly art works!
Grotesque (and grotty) are recent big-time winners of various art awards.

That's a good indicator of how clueless the said producers are  Roll Eyes

Many Americans are unable to understand someone speaking "The King's English" - and of course it's not confined to just that. The regional accents within the USA can be problematic too - ESPECIALLY when someone is speaking "authentic" Cajun (Louisiana habitues).

After watching a demonstration of a trebuchet at a UK castle, we walked down to meet the men doing the demo.  Another couple, also from the USA, had just approached them.  The demonstrators were all dressed in period costumes and to us, had thick accents.  The folks from USA asked the gentleman in charge..."Say, how fair did dat dare flew"?   The Englishman asked him to repeat it, which he did.  After several uncomfortable seconds of silence it dawned on me!  "How far did the stone fly"?  Interpreting English between two English speaking men and having trouble understanding either!!  Wink

And, as far as Susan...I say if she wants to change, great.  If she is comfortable staying the way she is, great!

jumpingjax, yes... well... ugly art?  Hadn't thought of that?  The exhibition my friend and I are planning is growing like Topsy... it's scaring me half to death!  Now I have to include some ugly art.   Sad  (Actually I may have some borderline ugly art around here somewhere?)

Maybe 'ugly' could become the new 'beautiful' or something?  Susan could lead the way for all of us!  Hooray!  She has real beauty but some people just don't see it.
