Monthly Drawing Project - August 2008
This months project has been deliberatly created to challenge our ability to draw proper ellipses. The ellipse is not just an oval. The narrow ends must not be too pointed nor to flat. An ellipse is the 2-dimensional representation of a perfect circle viewed from anywhere other than perpendicularly above its center point. Any circular object in our everyday lives is almost always seen as an ellipse so it is a vital shape for us to master.
These two glasses present us with several ellipses at various angles to each other and making them look solid but transparent as well as vertical and horizontal is not going to be easy. Good luck.
